Fairchild AFB Wa |
| We have been here now for about two years and absolutely love it!!! There are so many things to do around here. Camping, hunting, hiking, bike trails, snowboarding, farmers markets, u-pick orchards, theater, concerts, shopping, dinning...... I can just keep going on but I think you will get the point. Fairchild and the area have so much to offer if you are just willing to get out there and explore a little bit.
The housing is ok, but is getting better. It is now privatized and owned by Balfour Beatty. They have lots of rules and regulations but all in all they are doing a pretty good job.
The weather here has a little bit of everything. Washington has four seasons and everything that comes along with that.
Here are some of the things that the base has :
Movie theater, park with a disk golf course, two pools( one outdoor, one indoor), wild life area, lots of walking/running trails, tennis courts, basketball courts, driving range, paintball area, and the base also owns a "resort" area on Silver Lake.
I hope that this is enough info for any of you who are looking to come here.
