My husnband is stationed at SHAPE Belgium right now. I have to say over all it is a nice place. There are lots of antiques and the bakeries are to die for. They have a service called trips and tours here. Paris is only 2 hours from us. You can go to Paris for 25 Euro(about $25. It rains allot and is cold often. The PX could be better. We are lucky here no on post housing. We have to live on the economy and the houses here are huge and decent prices. I was at Ft. Campbell for 2 years and loves it. I had no trouble with support. You have to get involved to get help.As far as the housing,I lived of post. I knew several jr. enilsted who got onto post quickly. You just have to keep on them to get it done,as with most post. There are jobs you just have to look. As far as things to do. There is lots of shopping and clubs, and Nashville is only 30-45 minutes away. The people are really nice there. If you come in with an attitude then what comes around goes around. The local towns love the military. They are always honoring the military. As far as the military people, it is the 101st they demand allot of respect. Ft. Hood was great all around. I have nothing bad to say about it except ANTS!!!! everywhere.
