Hello all! This isn't really a story, but Doug from this website asked me to post it here! It's a beautiful, short poem that a neighbor of mine ran down the street, almost in tears, to give me yesterday! There's no author listed, so I don't know who to give credit to! The Military Wife's Prayer Give me the greatness of heart to see, the difference between his duty & his love for me. Give me the understanding that I may know, when duty calls him, he must go. Give me a task to do each day, to fill the time when he is away. And Lord, whe he is in a foreign land, keep him safe in your loving hand. And dear Lord, when duty is in the field, please protect him & be his shield. And Lord, when deployment is so long, Please stay with me & keep me strong. Amen!
