I was a little reluctant to go here, but once you see the scenery, and meet the people...you will be glad about being here. The base is small(Rose Barracks), and the town is a small farming community. There are lots of beautiful stores to go shopping. There are lots of Castle tours...strawberry farms...crystal shops. My son was born in Amberg, and the hospital, and staff were awesome...much better than in the states! We were in off post housing...10 minutes from base and i loved it! We drove to Austria, and Italy! Its a great opportunity! I wish i could go back!
