Standing up for Fairchild

Fairchild AFB

I just wanted to say to those people out there that are having a hard time with fairchild afb. We lived there, and it was by far the best place we ever lived. You have to WANT to get out and see stuff. Don't be afraid of the crime or the drivers. People on the base were the friendliest of all the bases weve been to and were on our 3 base since leaving there. If you think that living next to a small town and being on the outskirts of the bigger town is bad I suggest to you that you never move to Eielson AFB. Something to think when your saying it's hard to make friends, "am I the reason why"? Enjoy what you have because you never know when you'll end up someplace that has barely anything to do or shop for and your stuck there for 3 years. You'll be wishing you were back at Fairchild!
