not what i expected..

Ft. Drum

Ft. Drum has been my husband first duty station..We have been here is Sept.2004...and we have been wanting to get out of here ever since..the housing isnt that great..and there isnt much to do at all..Watertown is all you have, with a mall that is the size of a shoe box..not many stores at all..syracuse is the closest big city, but who wants to drive down there every weekend..the cold winter really sucks. outside the base, everything seems like ghost town..the houses are all run down and really ugly looking...its not what we expected at all..I dont like being home in the winter, but who wants to freeze there butts off outside..the summers are nice, i like the heat, but no AC in the housing really sucks, so you are basically melting away day and night..this is a place i never ever want to come back to.
