Ft. Meade

If moving to Ft. Meade do not live on base, if possible. The schools are terrible. Instead, rent or buy in Howard County. It has the best schools in Maryland. Also, Columbia/Ellicott City, Howard County, MD, was named the 3rd best place to live in the U.S. and it's the 3rd richest county in the U.S. Bad news: Traffic is terrible and the cost of living is high. Good news: D.C. and Baltimore are very close, therefore, you will find all of the amenities that you may need.
