Ft. Polk

I have moved several times already. So far I always enjoyed where we were stationed...... Schweinfurt, Germany, Ft. Hood, Schofield Barracks, back to Ft. Hood, then off to Baumholder Germany, then Giebelstadt Germany, and now we are at Ft. Polk! All what comes in my mind is awful! This place is out in the middle of nowhere. We don't hunt and fish, and these are some popular things to do here. Leesville desperately needs a make over and so do the streets around here. I have been here since July 2006 and I am still adjusting. Housing is pretty nice, we got lucky there. Our house was newly renovated when we moved in. Picerne is doing a great job. Jobs are hard to come by.... even more so because I am German and I can't hold a security clearance, which some positions on post require. I can't wait that our time here is up and we can move on again! Hopefully to bigger and better things!! I wouldn't want to come back again!
