Fort Irwin, CA

I do not recommend Fort Irwin. The Commissary is full of rotten veggies and expired products. The PX is small and has zilch. Complain all you want, it will only fall on deaf ears. Barstow is about 45 miles away and is nothing more than a Ghetto. There is a Walmart there, but it is small. No major Mall or shopping unless you drive to Victorville, which is an hour + (depending on traffic) drive one-way. The only interesting part of living on Ft Irwin is that Las Vegas and LA are close (2-3 hour drive).
