MCGUIRE AFB

I've been stationed here at mcguire for about a year now and to tell you that if you love driving and spending money on gas this is the place for you. Sure we are about 45-60 min away from philly but are you really gonna drive all that way everyday to enjoy yourself? New York is about 1 hour and 20 min train ride away. Right outside the base is a whole lot of nothing. I thought someone was playing a trick on me when i drove up to the base. The base itself is okay, its clean, the bx is rather crappy and the commisary is okay i guess. Housing Is EXTREMELY OVERPRICED, i cant stress that enough. so if you ever get the opportunity to come to Mcguire AFB, please dont come. stay where you are.
