Now that I have kids I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. If you like the hustle and bustle of big cities, don't bother, you're not going to find it here. There aren't very many bars, and for single people there isn't a real "dating scene." That said you WILL find so many things to do outdoors and pretty much everything is kid friendly. Unlike a big city you do have to be proactive and go find things to do, but they are there if you look. With this small base, the intramural activities end up being so much fun... still competitive, but it's not just the best jocks playing. I'm not going to lie, it gets cold, but those are the days you spend inside watching movies and playing board games. The summers are a dream. They are almost never too hot and beaches are just a hop away. If you like history I recommend seeking out Plymouth Rock, Salem, NH, and all of the history filled sights that New England has to offer.
