Fort Gordon

Fort Gordon

Well i have to say Ft. Gordon isnt all that bad.If you live on post its a lot better being here, but the wait is a little over a year. I really didnt care for the apartments off post you really couldnt get what you wanted cause they were just to expensive. But i have to say we are on post now and i like it alot better, everyone seems nice here. The PX is small so hardly do any shopping there. The commissary is a normal size but some people that work there are rude, but its good prices so i deal with it.We came from being in a field unit to a hospital unit here and it sucks, they all walk around like they got there thumbs up there butts, and everyone is out for them selves, so we are ready to go back to a field unit where we were like family with the unit. Plus another thing i didnt care for is that they really dont have a childrens unit here in the hospital when i was pregnant with my daughter all my appointment were at the hospital on post but i had to deliver at the Medical College of Georgia in town which was horrible tryiong to get there cause they traffic. But i have to say im glad i delivered there cause i was taken care of very well.My husband and I came from Ft.Polk, LA. which was ok but nothing to do really, all there is to do is go to Wal-Mart and you have to drive an hour to go somewhere nice, which we didnt miind doing. But anyway i have taken up enough space. we have been to other bases too but ill tell them another time
