EGLIN AFB, FL

I am new to this web site and couldn't help seeing the other comments about Eglin AFB, FL. I have lived on Eglin AFB on and off since 1968. My dad was stationed here and I married into the AF. I LOVE this area! The beaches are the most beautiful in the world! I was sad to read the post from Kari about her flag being stolen from her car. Kari, when I was driving through the base yesterday, I noticed 3 different flags laying in the middle of Eglin Blvd, the main road that runs through the entire base. One of those might have been yours. Is it possible that someone did not steal it, but it accidently blew off your car? We have to give our precious little ones all the possibilities when we are talking to them and not assume the worst (that someone had stolen yours). And this base has almost zero crime, visit some of the bases further south in Florida like MacDill AFB in Tampa, and you will see a BIG difference in the crime.
