Fort Bliss

The housing on base is really old and not very nice. We were very lucky to get into newer housing at William Beaumont. The commissary is very nice as is the PX. I can't really complain about the base itself we just hate El Paso. There really isn't that much to do here. There are alot of day trips into New Mexico with lots do do there. It just makes a long day of travel with kids. We are VERY close to Mexico but have had no desire to go there. Sometimes we feel as though we are already living in Mexico. The Patriots are based out of here so if you are in Patriots you are stuck here forever until you go to Germany. I know most people would love to be able to stay in one place as would I. If only it weren't El Paso. I really can't imagine living here for another 12 years!!!!!!!
