Nice Post

Fort Eustis, VA

I lived at Ft. Eustis, VA for 2 yr's. The housing is all the same no matte what rank. I lived in between an E2 & an E7. I think was nice because no favoritism. Also, for stay at home Mom's, everything is within walking distance from most housing. I would walk to the commissary, PX and video rental to be ahead for the weekend. We would walk to the bowling alley for food- just for something cheap and different to do. Also, on post there is a little swimming area with sand for the younger kids to play and get in and out of the water easily (instead of pools). Ft Eustis is only about a half hour to the ocean and an hour to Virginia beach. There is 2 malls within a half hour drive, a HUGE outlet mall about 45 minutes away, Bush Gardens fun park & water park...Tons of history in Williamsburg area. Tons of restaurants etc... I didn't realize how nice it was there until I left there and went to another post.
