FT. Lewis WA

I have lived here at fort Lewis for almost a year now. People say it is the most requested base there is. The housing wait is aweful!! It takes 10 to 12 months for a two bedroom. The cost of housing off-post is average about 650 for a decent 2 bedroom. The people here are really freindly and the schools are good. The housing condition is ok but could be better.Your really close to alot of activities, the ocean, Seattle and mount Rainier is beautiful! They have 4 gyms and lots of community centers, the base is huge! They have a good sized commisary and PX here, lots of resteraunts in the area. All and all I say that Fort Lewis is a nice place to come and see.
