ANDREWS AFB MD

I have been at Andrews about 10 months so far. My family and I got here in April and in June our car was stolen from an off base-base housing location. When we got here the on base housing was full so they had to move us to an off base military housing area. As far as the housing here I absoutley love it. I have one child and they gave us a 3 bedroom town home which is very spacious and nice. Living so close to the D.C area crime is pretty high so the local news is usually depressing to watch. Andrews itself is a great base with great people. I would have to say the best thing about Andrews would be the the site-seeing of course you would only be about 15 min. from all the monuments and our beautiful white house. I would recommend this place to a single person or a family who is use to the fast life and the city type. As you know each base is what you make of it.
