Fort Bragg & Fort Meade

I loved Fort Bragg, We lived there for 3 years, off post. The commissaries are great, The BX's are ok--same as they are here at Fort Meade--very convienient. Of course I did live within 1 hour of my family and usually went to Raleigh to shop and for entertainment. The beach is within 2 hours, you could just drive there for dinner and come back in 1 day. We had a great house with an inground pool and hot tub, lots of yard (which is rare here in MD) I worked at Womack, Which is a great state of the art hospital. Incidently, we are Air Force and thought we got respectfull treatment. Fort Meade is not bad either, it is old, we did luck out and get new housing, a nice mixture of all the forces so no one feels out of place, we have great neighbors. There is a TON of stuff to do here. DC and Baltimore within 30 min.(non-rush hour times) Traffic is awful, I commute to Bethesda NNMC, 2hours there and 2 hours back. NNMC is a great hospital also. During our wait for housing, we stayed at Andrews AFB in Temp. Living, it is a nice Base also, they have a great commissary and BX's.
