Ft Hood-NICE

Ft Hood

I've been here 10+ years, and met my husband who's been stationed here 7 years...we both enjoy it! I've seen it grow so much...every year something better comes. Sure it's hot, but there's always family days, concerts, and parades sponsored by the ocal citie & ft hood to look forward to and many new people to meet. Traffic isn't too bad...sure some people can't drive or rude BUT hey, they come from everywhere else, lol. I do recommend looking ahead of time for a place to stay if you don't plan on staying on base, especially right now with all the soldiers coming ( due either to the BRAC or deployment)...right now it's a 2-3 month wait! Well, if you do end up getting stationed here, hope it a good one for you & try to make the best of things
