desert landing, hot or dry?

Edwards AFB

To whom it may concern,this is my second base and quit frankly I'd rather live here instead of the midwest(St.Louis,Missouri). Edwards is more diverse and hot. I love the summer season. It gets so hot here you can cook and fry on your sidewalk!!! You get rain every once in a blue moon,and when it happens,it rains like cats and dogs!!! I love Edwards because San Diego is not far away. We as a family make a trip every other weekend to visit family there. They also have L.A.,Sea World which is free for military,San Diego Zoo,Disney World or Land one of the two,resturant if you enjoy eating and so many more. I love Edwards because the BX stay open longer and commissary is open through the week Mon.-Sun. I love it. My daughter who is 11yrs.old made alot of friends and she loves the school here. The classes are some what smaller. And she likes the fact she gets to eat outside for lunch. Cool huh? Anyhow, as far as living off base, its very expensive!!! But I guess the BHA will make up for it. It depends on what you want. I know for me living on base is more suitable. Its safe,nice,and the commissary and Bx is close by. So if you like the desert and hot climate Edwards is the base place to be!!!
