RAF Lakenheath is a nice base but the commissary sucks. The stock is lousy, product comes from Germany and there is not much to choose from. It is nothing like the Ramstein commissary which is huge and full of USA goods. The store manager or any of the workers are never around to help in the store. The bakery/deli is filthy with lots of food particles left around from cutting and baking. The workers do not wear hair nets.
During the summer school vacations all the baggers are teenagers. They have no training on how to bag, have terrible attitudes, goof off, hold conversations with each while bagging instead of concentrating on their job. During this time the products purchased and rung up by the cashier pile up. Food is damaged upon reaching home due to their inexprience with bagging. The man in charge of the baggers does not supervise properly and the cashiers do not correct the baggers.
This is the worst DECA commissary we have every seen. Everyone in that store needs to head to Hulburt commissary in Florida and get some proper training.
