Ft. Bragg, NC, was a good place,we were there for a year. There is lots to do there. Where we lived the rent was very cheap. The weather was fair. Being a Floridian it was a bit chilly for me at first, but I adjusted. Ft. Campbell, TN, is a good place also, just live on the Tennessee side in Clarksville. Rent was a little steep. The people are friendly there, more so than Bragg. You have the mountains and little waterfalls all around. You have Nashville right down the road and you know there is lots to there. Now, my hubby is Army and we end up at an Air force Base-Sheppard AFB, TX. Now this was a whole new sceene for us. I tell you, it has been the best sceene by far. This branch of people are the nicest you can ever imagine. They go out of their way to help-with a smile. This is the only place I have wanted to live on post and housing is great. They do not look that good on the outside because they are TAN AND BROWN. But on the inside they are spacious. There is plenty to do here. Ft. Sill, OK, and Altus AFB, OK, is less than an hour away.Wichita Mountains (wildlife reserve)is great for you rock climbers and hikers (yes, there is a mountain in Oklahoma). Dallas and Oklahoma City are the best for anything and everything you want to do. The weather is tricky. You Air Force people should really try to be perminent party here. So my overall rating is I love each and everyone for different things and reasons.
