FORT BELVOIR

Ft. Belvoir VA

I have to say that this is a beautiful base to live on. There are ALWAYS things to do around here. D.C. is just far enough away to feel safe yet close enough to reap the benefits of the zoo, museums, etc. Then there is Baltimore for the sports fans and OLD Towne Alexandria and Mount Vernon for the hisory buffs. There are 3 major airports right here AND public transporation couldn't be better. The Metro trains and buses are very dependable. The ONLY downfall to living here is traffic. It's right off of 95 and there is Always construction work going on. There are 3 pools on post that are very well kept 2 gyms and plenty of playgrounds. The marinia is also brilliant. Renting boats and fishing are a great inexpensive past time here. And the Potomac is easy on the eyes (yet hard on the nose pee ewww). Hope I never have to leave!
