Tropical breezes, beautiful blue waters, sandy beaches, the best scuba diving in the world, and never a flake of snow. What could be better than that? We have been here for three years and by far this is the best assignment ever. We bought a Honda from the base lemon lot and have enjoyed exploring this amazing island full of beauty and history. We can easily catch hops to Korea or Japan for a change of scenery or a few days to get away. We have no children so we are free to travel whenever we feel the need. The base house we live in is the largest we have ever had and was remodeled before we moved in. Base Services is excellent and always has something lined up to participate in. This place is similar to Hawaii, but without the crowds. Although our assignment will be up next year, it will be very hard to leave this place we have grown to love so much.
