JAX - Great place to live, very affordable housing & good schools, plenty of jobs for spouses, a little hot in July & August, but overall very nice 10 months out of the year. Lots of shopping, lots of attractions within a short 2-3 hour drive... NAS PENSACOLA - Don't have one bad thing to say about this place, beautiful beaches, great weather year round, very, very affordable, commissary/exchange & naval hospital within 1/2 mile of each other, home of the world famous "BLUE ANGELS" with 2 airshows a year(1 around July 4th and the season final) an awesome Naval Museum and nice malls and Flea markets... NAS WHIDBEY ISL, WA.- Beautiful country setting, reasonable/slightly expensive cost of living, awesome summers, exceptionaly mild winters with 1 or 2 snowfalls, annual Tulip festivals, Seattle 1.5 hrs away, Vancover, B.C. 1.5 hrs to the north, outstanding snow covered mountains all year long, camping, fishing, crabbing, shrimping, canoeing, Killer Whale watching year round and some of the cleanest air you can ever breath. only 3 hrs north to the Premier North American ski resort "Whistler/Blackcomb"... MCB Kaneohe Bay, HI. - Very nice base, away from the crowed side of the island, expensive offbase housing, expensive offbase shopping, expensive gas($2.14 a gallon as of today 7/2904 onbase), but beautiful year round weather and beautiful scenery, but it is expensive for a family to go home to the mainland to vacation.
