NOB Norfolk Virginia

This is the biggest Naval Base in the world and you sure can tell. There are so many people here that you get lost in the shuffle. It is so over populated that driving is alful. Takes forever to get anywhere due to it. The people, for the most part, are not friendly at all. Getting help on the base for anything has been a fight from day one. I have been here for a year and have yet to even talk to one single spouse from my DH ship and that isnt from lack of trying either. I know that has to be some good people here but I have yet to find them. You move here and you better be ready to find places on your own or with the help of mapquest. If anyone has even planned a get together of the spouse's for the Holidays, I havent heard of it even though my DH ship will be deployed out during that time and no money to travel to be with my family because it cost a fortune to live here. This base isn't the greatest for family support neither. I am counting the years down and just 3 more here to go. I rate this base a negitive -10!!!!!
