Fairchild, AFb

There are worse places to be stationed then Fairchild. Yes it is on the outskirts of spokane, the town is a small one but growing in leaps and bounds. There is alot to do in spokane and the sourounding areas. Get of the base and go camping or hiking or fishing. THere are bike races and foot races left and right. Spokane is big enough for the city slicker and just around the corner is the country life. This base is surrounded by farm communitys and is very enjoyable. You can enjoy the base and what the towns around it have to offer or you can stay on base and pout. The Bx is small there is no doubt about that. The commisarry is fair. This is a great place to go if you don't want to move around alot. it has been said that once you are here it is hard to leave. Enjoy the experience.
