You either love it or hate it. The post itself needs a lot to be desired. They are improving the horrendous housing. The commissary and PX are good. The schools on post are awful, which is why we live off post. The cost of living is very high and we pay out of pocket for our rental home just to live in a nice neighborhood with good schools. I personally think that it's way, way too hot here, but that's a matter of taste. If you like hummidity, then MD is for you. Because it's located bewteen Baltimore and DC, there are lots of things to do, but that also means that along with the culture and fun, comes congestion and lots of traffic. There are the good and bad and it just depends on what you are looking for. If coming from and air force base like me, you will be disappointed to find that this army post does not treat it's people nearly as well.
