Randolph AFB, What can I say..... If you like being pushed around by officers and civilians you will love it here. With this base being HQ for AETC, Recruiting, AFPC, and others there alot of officers. Including this is the Training base for instructor and navigator pilots. Base housing is very old and the walls are very thin. The houses are not very taken care of. Although they are beginning to rebuild Jr. Enlisted housing. Randolph is a show base so every little thing has to be perfect. Alright some of the bad news is out lets talk a little about the good things to do. San Antonio has some very beutiful landmarks including the Alamo. If you like to eat San antonio is the spot for you. Randolph is located about 20 miles from the beautiful Riverwalk. San Antonio is about two hours from Mexico and 2 hours to Chorpus Christi. If you like shopping San An has around 9 malls. I am sorry for you if you have to come to this base but the outside life is cool.
